Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Servixy ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including customers and service providers.
2. The Servixy Platform
Servixy is an online marketplace that connects homeowners ("Customers") with independent home service professionals ("Providers") across Sri Lanka. Servixy is not itself a service provider. All services are provided directly by independent Providers. Servixy does not employ Providers and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of any service.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts under Sri Lankan law to register an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
- One person may not hold multiple accounts without prior written approval.
4. For Customers
- Posting jobs and receiving quotes is free.
- Job postings must be accurate and relate to genuine home service needs.
- Customers must not post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal job requests.
- Payments for services are made directly between Customers and Providers. Servixy does not process or hold payments.
5. For Providers
- Providers must complete the verification process before submitting quotes or accepting jobs.
- Provider profiles must accurately represent skills, service areas, and rates.
- Providers agree to carry out accepted jobs professionally, on time, and to a standard consistent with their quoted price.
- Providers are responsible for holding any licences, permits, or insurance required for their trade under Sri Lankan law.
- Servixy reserves the right to suspend or remove providers whose conduct or reviews fall below acceptable standards.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Sri Lankan law.
- Post false reviews or manipulate the ratings system.
- Solicit Customers or Providers to transact outside the Platform in order to avoid Platform records.
- Attempt to access another user's account without authorisation.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
7. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews may only be submitted by Customers who have completed a job through the Platform. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on the actual experience. Servixy reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or are found to be fraudulent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Servixy is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from services performed by Providers. Customers engage Providers at their own risk. Servixy's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount, if any, paid to Servixy in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including the Servixy name, logo, design, and software — is the property of Servixy. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Platform without written permission.
10. Termination
Servixy may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
